Employment Summary
Started at the Intercontinental Hotels in the front desk; moved to the largest tour operator in Ecuador as National bilingual guide for about two years. Worked as Incoming department manager for the second largest operator for about 5 years. Now provides customer sales and personal service for prepackaged, adventure tours in Latin America. Annual sales revenues regarded as outstanding by shareholders, currently President CEO and Latin America Specialist at FlashTravel with a concentration in Andean National Parks Indian Culture and Colonial Cities of all South America
Professional Achievements
During the last position, I was able to develop the whole incoming department and the fastest growing tourism business in the country. At present stage I have created FlashTravel and developed the first real deluxe land services in Ecuador with projection through South America. Managed wholesale travel arrangements, specialized in individual and small group travel programs for executives, employees, incentives, and special requirement groups and organizations. Designed incentive programs for the sales force for several companies like Carrier Air conditioning, AEG, American Airlines and Air-cond. Attended all the main Travel Shows in the world and was able to organize the most successful action packaged travel packages in the Area. Also created this website and its marketing strategy. Consultant for the camber of tourism on quality services for natural history and Hispanic culture, first Monitor in Ecuador Proffesional certification program in cooperation with Inter American Bank of development. Recently discovered as Memories Maker “Naturalist Photographer”
Education and Special Training Two years of Business Administration at the Catholic University, following by a Degree on marketing management. I also hold the official Tour guide degree offered by the Secretary of Tourism and the Secretary of Environment of Ecuador. Many courses on different fields like first aid – safety operation, environmental interpretation, Biology of the Amazon rain forest for Eco tourism guides, naturalist guide for the Upper Andes National Parks, Tour leader in Chile and Argentina at the Patagonia. I have studies on Peru, Bolivia and Colombia. Certified translator for the United States Embassy. I have a Diploma on Tourist Marketing by the European Center for the promotion of Imports from developing countries. Also got a degree on Colonial Art of Quito offered by ASECUT and the University San Francisco de Quito. In year 2007 took the updating class on Quito’s through the ages; participated in the development of a certification system for the Ecuadorian guides in cooperation with the chamber of tourism and the Inter American Development Bank BID, process will lead to getting NTE INEN 2 444:2007 / ISO 17024 certification.
